OGUNQUIT, Maine —The Ogunquit Museum of American Art (OMAA) is excited to announce the launch of its inaugural Title I School Bus Fund, designed to cover transportation costs for schools receiving federal Title I funding. This initiative, generously supported by the Rickert Family Charitable Fund and the Morton-Kelly Charitable Trust, aims to make museum visits more accessible to students across Maine and New Hampshire.
Funding will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so educators are encouraged to reach out early to plan their visit. To schedule a trip or learn more, contact Sophie Cordery, Education & Community Outreach Fellow, at scordery@nullogunquitmuseum.org.

This new funding aligns with OMAA’s commitment to education and its mission to welcome learners of all ages. As Cordery explains, “The Museum is a constant space of creative inquiry—from the beautiful grounds to the dynamic exhibitions in our galleries. My goal is to create programs that spark curiosity, support newcomers to the arts, and encourage joyful learning. This is a crucial time to highlight the power of interdisciplinary learning in building confidence, visual literacy, and community.”
Central to that mission is access to the arts. In addition to the Title I transportation support, OMAA is also proud to offer free admission to all K–12 school groups—including students, teachers, and chaperones—through the newly launched Maura Harrington Open Doors for All program.
