OUTDOOR SKETCH AND PAINT (August 2, 10:00am–2:00pm) • Heather Lewis $45 per class
This exciting workshop is set in the museum’s world-renowned flower and sculpture gardens with a backdrop of dramatic seaside views. Artist and teacher Heather Lewis will share her love of sketching and tips for how to easily capture what is seen in an outdoor setting while on the move. Classes begin promptly at 10:00am.
Materials You’ll Need To Bring: 8×10 Sketchbook or smaller (multi-media or watercolor,) graphite pencil, charcoal, pencil sharpener, eraser; variety of color media (water colors – pan style set, colored pencils, crayons, water soluble colored pencils, or pastels) brushes (large, medium, small,) and rags.
We strongly recommend you bring items for your personal comfort: sunscreen, bug spray, sun hat, water repellent wind breaker, water bottle.
Heather Lewis, with a life-long immersion in the arts, is an accomplished visual artist, teacher, and creativity coach, who inspires learning through her engaging and interactive teaching style.
