Fly Fishing Presentation “Bugs and Smelt”

June 18, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

BUGS AND SMELT: Favorite Flies and Streamside Musings (June 18, 2:00pm–3:00pm)  •  Rick Little  •  FREE with Admission

One of Rick’s most popular programs, this presentation is great for fly fishermen, fly tyers and lovers of the great outdoors. It is a fun, light-hearted program that celebrates the fly fishing experience including the beautiful environs where we fish. He shares some of his favorite freshwater patterns and the experiences and streamside observations that have contributed to making these flies “favorites”.

Fly kits available in the gift shop.

Rick Little, a self taught fly fisherman who has had the opportunity to learn from some very knowledgeable outdoorsmen and fishermen. Much of what he has learned came from observing nature and skillful fishermen on the water, and conversations about fish, flies, fishing and life, around Coleman lanterns and campfires on many rivers. Rick has been active in conservation organizations for years – including serving as president of Trout Unlimited Chapters in Manchester, NH and Bangor, ME.
