ART IN BLOOM OUTDOOR SKETCHING and PAINTING (June 25, 10:00am–1:30pm)  •  Heather Lewis    $45 

This exciting workshop is set in the museum’s world renowned flower and sculpture gardens with a backdrop of dramatic seaside views. Artist/teacher Heather Lewis will share her love of sketching and tips of how to easily capture what is seen in an outdoor setting, while on the move. Class begins promptly at 10:00am.

Recommended Materials:  A lightweight, easy to carry tote, 8×10 Sketchbook or smaller (multi-media or watercolor,) graphite pencil, charcoal, pencil sharpener, eraser; variety of color media (water colors – pan style set, colored pencils, crayons, water soluble colored pencils, or pastels) brushes (large, medium, small,) and rags.

We strongly recommend you bring items for your personal comfort: sunscreen, bug spray, sun hat, water repellent wind breaker, water bottle.

Heather Lewis, with a life-long immersion in the arts, is an accomplished visual artist, teacher, and creativity coach, who inspires learning through her engaging and interactive teaching style.
