Totally Tuesday Talks

Enjoy our 2020 Totally Tuesday Talks, featuring discussions with artists and scholars about art, Ogunquit, and more.

Curator and artist Marc Chabot, a leading expert on the work of the late artist Emily Nelligan, talks about his friendship with Nelligan and her work in our first Totally Tuesday Talk of the season. Our 2020 exhibition, Emily Nelligan: Nocturne, was the first major installation of her work since her passing in 2018.

Photographer Mac Cosgrove-Davies discusses his photographic processes:

Maine artist Andy Rosen walks viewers through After Party, his exhibition inspired by the seaside exploits of artists from Ogunquit’s art colony:

Dr. Libby Bischof, history professor at the University of Southern Maine, presents The Art of Seeing, taking us behind her research into Charles Woodbury’s Ogunquit Summer School of Drawing and Painting:

Kathleen Speranza discusses how classical 17th century Dutch still life painting and gardening brought her to studied observations of flowers that approach “portraiture.” Speranza’s floral portraits were featured in the 2020 exhibition Kathleen Speranza: Vanitas Vita.

In our final talk of the 2020 season, Curator and Collections Manager Ruth Greene-McNally talks to Chris and Peter Woodbury about their grandfather Charles Woodbury and his role in the Ogunquit art colony and American art:

2020 Totally Tuesday Talks were made possible through the generous support of Carole Aaron and The Meadowmere Resort.
