Artist Jeffrey Fitzgerald
I summered just up the road from the museum and many of my deepest and clearest memories are of the beauty, power and intoxication of Narrow Cove. Narrow Cove is home and chapel.
I have spent my nights and days looking out on Oarweed Cove and Marginal Way mesmerized by rock solid jewels and nature’s formidable turns. The Oarweed now at 35 years is also home and appreciated duty.
With these, I draw and paint daily wrapped in subject but mostly in the painting process. Color is my true subject, the play of endless contrast and compliment. Pigment and hue, timid to bombastic I am in endless contented experiment. So, coupling the museums vista to my wide eye passion the painting I donated is both culmination and catapult. For me creativity is freedom and mission.
