DESCRIPTION:The Ogunquit Museum of American Art is excited to welcome you back to the second annual Story Trees by the Sea event\, co-hosted with the Wells Public Library. Join us for a magical weekend as the Museum’s galleries transform into a winter wonderland filled with beautifully decorated trees created by local classrooms and community members. This two-day event\, held on Saturday and Sunday\, December 13th and 14th\, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.\, is suitable for all ages and offers a great opportunity to engage during the Museum’s usual off-season! \n  \n  \nToday’s Schedule:\n  \n\n10:00 AM                   Doors Open \n10:30-10:55 AM       Children’s Story Reading #1 \n11:00-11:15 AM        Children’s Story Reading #2 \n11:15-11:30 AM        Children’s Story Reading #3 \n11:35-11:55 AM        Children’s Story Reading #4 \n12:00-2:00 PM         Common Roots Studio-Led Art Activities \n12:00 PM                  Special Visit from Santa! Night Before Christmas Reading \n2:00 PM                    Event Ends \n  \nThroughout the event\, find additional self-paced and artist-led crafts (build a snow globe and create a greeting card!)\, scavenger hunts\, and time to explore the grounds!  \n  \nThank to the classrooms\, organizations and individuals decorating trees this season: Wells Public Library (co-host of the event!)\, Acton Academy\, Apex Youth Connection\, Arts in Reach\, Barn Gallery\, Brixham Montessori Friends School\, Dianne Caraviello\, Horace Mitchell Primary School\, Local Homeschoolers\, River Tree Arts\, Welly Elementary\, York High School Photography\, and York High School Visual Art. \n  \nEvent Highlights: \n\nEnjoy children’s stories read aloud by local authors and student ambassadors. \nParticipate in hands-on art activities led by Common Roots Studio Mobile Art Bus and artist Heather Lewis.\nEnjoy light snacks and refreshments.\nNew this year\, explore stunning portraits created by Advanced Art students at Traip Academy as part of a 12-week collaborative project with the Museum. In addition\, view powerful photographic portraits by students from York High School.\nVisit the Museum’s gift shop for some holiday shopping! \n\nThis family-friendly event is free and open to all ages — no pre-registration is needed. \n  \nParking & Shuttle Service: \nParking at the Museum is limited. Complimentary shuttle service will be available both days between the Cape Neddick Country Club parking lot and the Museum. Visitors are encouraged to park at the Country Club and take advantage of the shuttle.  \nGenerous support for this event is provided by Carole J.
