DESCRIPTION:2:00 – 3:00pm Presentation\, 3:00 – 3:30pm reception with light fare. \nOMAA welcomes award winning floral designer Laura Lindop for Art in Bloom’s floral arranging demonstration set for Saturday\, June 25 at 2:00. During her program she will draw upon her wealth of experience and expertise\, which includes the many years of participating in the MFA’s Art in Bloom (2012 to 2020)\, and being National Garden Club Master Judge. She is a member of the Piscataqua Garden Club\, and a senior associate of The Acton Garden Club in Massachusetts. \nTitled The American ‘Art‘ of Arranging Floral Components with a Hint of European Trends\, the program is geared toward anyone interested in exploring new ways of arranging. Ms. Lindop will share her particular areas of interest: creative designs and mechanics\, and chat about her interpretation of David Von Schlegel’s Graphite on Paper. Ms. Lindop plans to complete five arrangements during the presentation\, which will be raffled off to benefit the Museum at the conclusion of the event.** \nMs. Lindop explains\, “When I’m arranging flowers I think about composition\, color\, form\, and positive versus negative space as a painter or sculptor would do. All of these things evoke emotion in flowers\, just as they do in Art.”

DESCRIPTION:FIGURE DRAWING WORKSHOP (July 13\, 5:30pm–8:00pm)  •  Heather Lewis    $45 per class  \nFrom quick\, warm-up\, gestural drawings\, to longer studies to gain a better understanding of the skeleton\, weight-bearing points in the pose\, foreshortening and more\, while working from the model.  Classes begin promptly at 5:30pm. \nMaterials You’ll Need To Bring:  18×24 Sketchbook or Newsprint pad\, (conte crayon\, wax crayon\, or graphite pencil\,) eraser\, and sharpener  \nEasels\, drawing boards\, and chairs provided by the museum \n  \n \n  \nHeather Lewis\, with a life-long immersion in the arts\, is an accomplished visual artist\, teacher\, and creativity coach\, who inspires learning through her engaging and interactive teaching style.

DESCRIPTION:OMAA welcomes Yoga on York\, established in 2002\, specializing in safe\, effective\, fun classes for all ages and levels\, from beginner to experienced student. Their instructors are all highly trained at the 200 or 500 hour level and attend regular continuing education. You will be instructed in healthy body alignment\, encouraged to listen to your body and assisted in modifying postures as needed to make them safe for you. Instructors clearly guide you through creative\, intelligently sequenced classes to enhance health\, well-being & self-awareness\, all while you enjoy the beautiful grounds of OMAA’s sculpture gardens by the sea!
